Portzen Construction is looking for motivated Laborers to join our team. This position is a full-time position that can be seasonal work. We are looking for apprentices and journeyman Laborers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Working on multiple job sites, installing underground utilities and concrete work.
- Work on or with a PCC concrete paving crew, a catch basin/curb crew, a site prep crew, and a pipe crew.
- Work with foreman or project superintendent to successfully complete projects from start to finish.
- Ability to understand concrete and methods of installation and construction.
- General cleanup of job site.
Skill Requirements
- Must be 18 years old
- Good understanding of basic math
- Ability to lift 50 – 75 pounds
- Experience helpful but not required
- Ability to learn and follow directions
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Some travel may be required within a 150-mile radius of Dubuque.
Pre- employment drug screen required.
